What is an I-CAN!™ E-file Program ID?

Your I-CAN!™ E-file Program ID is a number that you add to the web link your program uses when you direct clients to use I-CAN! E-FILE.

When a user completes their tax return with I-CAN!™ E-FILE, the totals of their tax dollars are added to the totals under your program name. You can see both the total number of users who completed the tax return from your referrals, and the total dollars returned to the users from your program's referrals by clicking on the "Taxpayer Reports" link.

Where do I put my I-CAN!™ E-file Program ID?

You create a link to I-CAN!™ E-File from your website by typing:

www.icanefile.org?caller=1

instead of the number 1 above, you substitute your Program ID.

Follow these steps to create your Program ID

Enter the name of your organization the way you would like to see it displayed on the report. You are limited to 49 total characters and please don't use ' or " or other non alphabetic or numeric symbols.
